May 2020 - Awesome News and Updates!

MAY UPDATES:

Just wanted to give you some updates on what is happening in May and June at Mahanaim Village Orphanage.

At Mahanaim, the kids just finished most of their end of the school year exams. A few will finish this week for summer to begin.

Denok has kept them busy with the Sports field with lots of games and activities each day. She has also added more English classes for the kids.

All the kids are healthy and we are so thrilled for this.

We had several birthdays in May and Joseph the baby turned 2. He is growing up really fast.

Construction Updates:

House #4, named Grantham House, is now finished.  We have ordered all the furniture and are waiting on it to be finished. We should be able to move in the kids around mid-June.  We will provide a video on the website once it’s complete.  Thank you to the Dr. Jeff Baker and family for sponsoring the construction of house #4.

The gazebo for the sports field is under construction. This should be finished in June as well. A great place for the kids to get out of the sun and enjoy snacks and games as a community. Thank you, St. John, for this along with the Sports Field.

We are also in the process of constructing a storage room, where we will keep all the sports equipment and tools used for construction, when not in use. This will keep them in better shape and free from any theft.

We are updating the website over the next 2 weeks, as well. Please check it out at www.OurBalikids.com  We are asking each sponsor family and donor to send a photo that we can use on our website.   We just want to say thanks to all of our Sponsors and Construction Donors.  Please email to Reneebonds@yahoo.com as soon as you can.

Denok is posting a lot of pics on Instagram, under Mahanaim Village.  If you are on Instagram, please connect with us to see lots of updates.   If you want to connect directly with your child, reach out to Denok at lestariw@hotmail.com and she can help set it up.
