Dr. Baker has done many medical mission trips to South America, Africa and Asia including supporting the Mahanaim Orphanage on a regular basis. Dr. Baker, his wife, and two kids recently finished a mission trip to Zambia this past summer. He also does medical work locally for the needy in his area of California. Dr. Baker and his family also sponsor 2 children at Mahanaim Village and enjoy visiting regularly to watch the kids grow and mature. The Bakers have a passion for mission service and are so grateful to be connected with Mahanaim Village and the people working and living there. The Baker family has sponsored House 4, Grantham House, which has a completion date in June 2020. His passion for helping those in need is what drives him.

Carlene bailey, rn

Registered nurse

Carlene Bailey is a Registered Nurse of 38 years with a background in Trauma, Orthopedics, Community Health and Oncology.  She has been active in both short and long term Medical/Educational Mission work since 1996 in the countries of India and Indonesia.  She has a passion to serve underprivileged Women and children wherever God leads.

Carlene has been faithful to work with the Staff and children of Mahanaim since 2013 in various capacities.  She has taught online ESL classes in 2014 as well as 1 year of onsite ESL classes from March 2017-April 2018 for Mahanaim, and also sponsored a Pastor’s and Children’s Conference on-site at Mahanaim in 2014.

Carlene considers the staff and children at Mahanaim as family, and will continue to love, support and encourage them, in any way possible. Her medical background has been a huge blessing when medical issues arise at the orphanage.
